Marketing Manager

Why Lemax?
Lemax builds end-to-end software for Multi-Day Tour Operators – companies that create, sell, and operate tours across the world. Our SaaS solution powers automation, streamlines workflows, and optimises business processes for 40+ clients across 30+ countries on 6 continents.
We are a team of 70+ people, headquartered in Zagreb with an office in Osijek and a growing presence in London, where our Head of Marketing is based. By joining Lemax, you will be part of an ambitious mission, working alongside a team with deep domain expertise, and genuinely good people.
Why this role exists
Lemax has a strong product, a defined market, and a sales function finding its stride. What we don’t have yet is a marketing engine.
You’d be joining as the second person in a marketing department that’s being built from the ground up. No inherited strategy to run on autopilot. A clear brief: build the content, campaigns and digital presence that puts Lemax in front of the right buyers consistently.
If you want to work on marketing that matters and actually makes a difference, where you ship work with your name on it and watch visible results land, this is the role for you.
What makes this role different
- You are not joining an established marketing team – you are becoming it. You are employee #2 in marketing (alongside the Head of Marketing). In 12 months, the marketing engine that generates pipeline, content, and brand presence is largely your work. That is a CV entry no large-company Marketing Manager can claim.
- Direct partnership with the Head of Marketing. In most companies, a Marketing Manager executes tasks with limited strategic visibility. At Lemax, you work directly alongside the Head of Marketing, are included in strategic decisions from day one, and have meaningful touchpoints with the CEO.
- International scope. All marketing is produced in English for a global audience of tour operators across the UK, Europe, APAC, and beyond. You attend TTS London, WTM London, and ITB Berlin. An international marketing career without relocating.
- Vertical SaaS on your CV. Experience building marketing for a specialised enterprise software product with a complex sales cycle is an increasingly valuable credential. Lemax sits at the intersection of travel technology and B2B SaaS.
- Visible, measurable impact. In a company of ~70 people, every campaign that generates a qualified lead is visible. There is no bureaucracy between effort and outcome.
What you will be doing
- Develop and execute a content marketing programme – blog posts, case studies, white papers, social media posts, and email copy – in English for a global B2B audience of tour operators.
- Build, manage, and continuously optimise HubSpot campaigns: email workflows, nurture sequences, landing pages, and forms to support demand generation and pipeline development in close collaboration with the Sales team.
- Own and maintain the Lemax website (WordPress), ensuring content is up to date, SEO/AEO/GEO-optimised, and aligned with the current messaging framework.
- Manage the marketing calendar and campaign schedule independently, coordinating deliverables, deadlines, and dependencies across content, digital, and event activities.
- Support the preparation and execution of industry events (TTS London, WTM London, ITB Berlin), including pre-event campaigns, event materials, and post-event follow-up.
- Track and interpret campaign performance using GA4, HubSpot, and Google Search Console – and translate insights into concrete improvements.
- Create professional marketing assets and visual content (Canva or equivalent) for use across digital channels, events, and sales enablement.
Who we are looking for
Experience & background
- 3-6 years of total professional experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a B2B setting, ideally within SaaS, technology, or a B2B-focused agency.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing marketing channels and producing measurable output.
- Mid-level profile: works independently with clear strategic direction. Not a junior requiring task-by-task guidance, not a senior who manages others.
- Experience in vertical SaaS or travel/tourism technology is a strong advantage.
Tools & skills
- HubSpot: CRM, email campaigns, workflows, sequences, landing pages, forms
- CMS proficiency: WordPress (content management and basic updates)
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console
- Canva or equivalent design tool for marketing asset creation
- Copywriting and content creation in English: blog posts, emails, social posts, landing pages, one-pagers
What matters more than your CV
- Ownership mentality. You proactively take responsibility and drive tasks to completion without waiting to be asked.
- Execution bias. You default to shipping and iterating rather than over-planning. Comfortable with imperfect first drafts.
- Context-switching. You move fluidly between writing a blog post, setting up a HubSpot workflow, and pulling a GA4 report — often on the same day.
- Resourcefulness. You find practical solutions with limited budgets, tools, and headcount. You make things happen with what’s available.
- Outcome orientation. You think in terms of business impact, not just deliverables. “I published the post” is not the same as “the post generated X leads.”
- Resilience and comfort with ambiguity. You are energised by building from scratch. The blank page is exciting, not daunting.
What’s in it for you
- Career accelerator. Direct partnership with the Head of Marketing, visibility with the CEO, and a natural growth path to Senior Marketing Manager as the team scales.
- International events. TTS London, WTM London, ITB Berlin – 2–3 times a year. An international marketing career from Zagreb.
- The travel industry. Your audience organises tours across Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe. The domain is specific and more interesting than selling generic software.
- Vertical SaaS expertise. Vertical SaaS is increasingly in demand. The experience you build here – complex domain, enterprise sales cycles, purpose-built technology – is a CV differentiator.
- Work-life balance. Hybrid work model, fully covered sick leave, and flexibility in arranging your schedule.
- Growth & development. High-quality onboarding, feedback culture, and internal and external education opportunities.
- Perks that matter. Gamification rewards (tech gear, dream trips, education funding), free parking, a well-equipped workspace, and team-building events.
